Gram-positive cocci, non-motile, nonspore-forming.
Colonies are smooth and white. Grows in 0-10% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 2-3%), pH
6.0-10.0 (optimum, pH 8.0) and at temperature 5-40 ºC (optimum at 28 ºC). Aerobic.
Isolated from a marine sediment sample collected from the Indian Ocean.
