Rhizobacter profundi Jin et al. 2016.
Gram-negative rods. Motile by a single polar flagellum.
When grown for 3 days at 30 ºC on R2A agar, colonies are smooth, circular, convex,
and brownish. Growth occurs at temperatures from 8 to 30 ºC, but not at 4 ºC or 37 ºC.
The optimal pH for growth is 7.0; growth occurs at pH 6.0 and pH 9.0, but not at pH 5.0
or pH 10.0. No growth occurs in the presence of NaCl (1-5%, w/v). Aerobic.
Isolated from a sediment sample taken from Daechung Reservoir (Republic of Korea) at a water depth of 48 m.
Undetermined.
