Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.25-0.45 x 0.9-1.8 µm. Motile.
Colonies are L-form with entire margins, creamy colour, umbonate elevation and
non-mucoid.  Optimum growth at 30 ºC (range, 5-40 ºC), with 1-2%NaCl (range,
0-3%) and at pH 7 (range 6-11). Aerobic.
Isolated from a bacterial consortia of contaminated soil enriched for the remediation of e-waste collected from Lalkuan, Uttarakhand,
India.

Positive results for acid phosphatase, catalase, alpha-chymotrypsin, cysteine arylamidase, esterase, esterase lipase, leucine
arylamidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, naphthol-AS-BI-phospohydrolyase, nitrate reduction, oxidase, trypsin,
and valine
arylamidase.
Can assimilate (API 20 NE): caprate, citrate, glucose, malate and phenylacetate.
Can utilize (Biolog GEN III): lactate, glucose, 3-methyl glucose, dextrin, D-galactose, D-malic acid, gentibiose, mucic acid,
N-acetyl-D-neuraminic acid, pectin, alpha-hydroxy-butyric acid, alpha-keto-butyric acid and methyl beta-D-glucoside.

Negative results for alkaline phosphatase, amylase, arginine hydrolysis, aesculin hydrolysis, alpha-fucosidase, alpha- and
beta-galactosidase, alpha- and beta-glucosidase, beta-glucuronidase, gelatinase, indole production, alpha-mannosidase, lysine
decarboxylase, ornithine decarboxylase, urease and acid production from glucose.
No assimilation of L-arabinose, gluconate, mannitol, maltose, mannose and N-acetyl-glucosamine.
No utilization of: arbutin, aesculin, D-arabinose, D-fructose, D- and L-xylose, glycerol, 2- and 5-ketogluconate, adonitol, methyl
alpha-D-glucoside, methyl alpha-D-mannoside, amygdalin, arbutin, aesculin, beta-gentiobiose, beta-methyl xyloside, cellobiose,
D-tagatose, D-lyxose, raffinose, turanose, erythritol, gluconate, glycogen, inositol, inulin, D- and L-arabitol, lactose, L-fucose,
L-sorbose, maltose, mannitol, melezitose, melibiose, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, rhamnose, salicin, sorbitol, starch, sucrose,
trehalose and xylitol.
