Colonies grown on an R2A agar plates for 2 days are yellowish and circular. Slightly
thermophilic, growing at 10-55 ºC (optimal growth at 40-50 ºC); no growth occurs at 5
ºC or 60 ºC. The pH range for growth is pH 6.0-10.0 (optimal growth at pH 8.0-9.0).
Growth occurs with 0-3% (w/v) NaCl (optimal growth with 0-1%) and no growth occurs
with 4.0% (w/v) NaCl.
Strictly aerobic.
