Gram-negative cocci, 0.48-1.2 μm in diameter, organized in chains of 30 μm in length.
Nonmotile.
Aerobic. Optimal growth occurs at 35-37 ºC.
Isolated from the oral cavity of a sheep.

Positive results for arginine hydrolysis, catalase, gelatin liquefaction, oxidase, acid
production from: mannitol, adonitol, inositol, rhamnose, sucrose, arabinose and
maltose.

Negative results for indole production, lysine hydrolysis, ornithine decarboxylase and
urease. No acid production from glucose.
