Gram-positive rods, 0.4-0.6 x 1.0-3.0 µm. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are white to beige, smooth, 0.5-1.5 mm in diameter after 2 days of
anaerobic incubation at 30 ºC on MRS agar. Non-haemolytic. Grows at 15-37 ºC,
optimally at 30-35 ºC, weak growth at 41 ºC. Grows in 0-8% NaCl, weak growth in
9-10% NaCl. Grows at pH 4.0-7.5. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from Pla-jom, traditional fermented fish, Thailand. Tellurite resistant.
Undetermined.
