Grows well anaerobically at 37 ºC on MRS agar. Facultative anaerobe. Grows at 20-45
ºC (37 ºC optimum). Can grow at pH 4.0 and in 12% NaCl media.
Isolated from fermented soybean meal.

Homofermentative.
Description is based mostly on API 50 CHL and API ZYM (bioMerieux) results.
