Gram-positive rods, 0.7-1 x 1.6-2.3 µm, occurring singly or in pairs. Non-motile.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are beige, convex, smooth with entire margins, 1.5 mm in diameter after 3
days at 30 ºC on mMRS agar. Can grow at 37 ºC (30 ºC optimum); no growth at 45 ºC.
Grows weakly at pH 11.0. Grows in 6.5% NaCl media. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from traditional pickle, China. Tellurite tolerant .
