Gram-negative, short rods. Motile by means of a flagella.
Grows by swarming in periodic cycles when grown on LB medium containing 1.5 %
agar at 37 ºC for 24 h. Growth occurs at temperatures ranging from 30 to 45 ºC after
24 h and at 10 ºC after48 h. The optimum growth temperature is 37 ºC. NaCl
tolerance ranges from 0 to 6% (w/v).

azithromycin.
