Phylum Pseudomonadota (Proteobacteria), Class Betaproteobacteria, Order Burkholderiales, Family Burkholderiaceae, Genus
Pandoraea,
Pandoraea oxalativorans Sahin et al. 2011.
Gram-negative rods, 0.7-0.9 x 2.3-2.8 μm. Motile. Non-spore-forming. Poly-beta-
hydroxybutyric acid is accumulated.
Colonies after 2 days of incubation on TSA plates are cream coloured, round,
cream-coloured, convex, 1-2 mm in diameter. Growth occurs at 30 and 37 ºC, but not
at  42 ºC. Grows in 3% (w/v) NaCl nutrient broth, but not in 4.5% (w/v) NaCl. Aerobic.
Isolated from soil litter close to oxalate-producing plants of the genera Oxalis, Rumex and Arum, respectively, after enrichment
with oxalate in mineral medium.
Undetermined.
