Gram-positive. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are white, 1.0-2.0 mm in diameter on MRS agar. Can grow at 30 and 40 ºC,
not at 25 or 45 ºC. Grows at pH 4.0-6.0. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from the stool sample of a black-capped squirrel monkey (Saimiri boliviensis subsp. peruviensis).
