Gram-positive short, straight or curved diphtheroid rods. Non-motile. Non-acid-fast.
Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are convex,  glistening, translucent white or gray, pinpoint after 2-3 days of
anaerobic incubation at 37 ºC on Columbia agar or fastidious anaerobe agar with 5%
horse blood. Anaerobic.
Isolated from human sources (abscesses). The habitat is not known.
