Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive straight or curved rods, 1.8-2.2 / 0.4-0.5 µm. Non-spore-forming.
Non-motile.
Colonies on TSA agar are convex, yellow, smooth, 0.5-1.5 mm in diameter after 3-4
days of incubation at 28 ºC. Facultative anaerobic. Grows at 20-37 ºC (optimum at
28-30 ºC) at 7.5-8.0 pH and in 0-6% NaCl (optimum in 0-2% NaCl).
Isolated from a sediment sample collected from the coastal area of Quigdao, China. Resistant to nalidixic acid, nitrofurantoin and
cotrimoxazole. Sensitive to tetracycline, penicillin G, ampicillin, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, kanamycin and streptomycin.
