Description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive irregular-shaped, non-branching rods. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are grey, shiny, circular, opaque, convex, after incubation in 5% CO2
atmosphere, on 5% horse blood Columbia (Difco) agar. Weakly haemolytic.
Facultative anaerobic. Grows at 37 ºC.
Isolated from a 3-year old female Arab cross horse with vaginal discharge. Habitat is not known.
It is unclear,  the strain have been recovered in mixed cultures with an unidentified Corynebacterium spp. and coagulase-negative
staphylococci from a vaginal discharge of a horse.
