Gram-positive straight to slightly curved rods. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming. Not
acid fast.
Colonies are smooth, convex, grey or white, less than1 mm in diameter after 48 h
anaerobic incubation on fastidious anaerobe agar (LAB M) with 5% horse blood.
Weak beta-haemolysis. CAMP reaction is negative. Facultative anaerobic. Optimum
growth temperature is 37 ºC.
Isolated from human urine. Habitat is not known.
