Gram-positive short rods, 0.6-1.0 x 0.8-1.2 µm. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are greyish-white, opaque, shiny, below 1.0 mm in diameter on BHI agar
(Difco) supplemented with 5% sheep blood after 48 h at 37 ºC in air plus 5% CO2.
Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from rectal swabs of Old World vultures (Gypaetus barbatus) in Tibet.
