Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive coccus shaped cells, 0.7-1.1 µm in diameter. Non-motile.
Colonies are ivory coloured, convex, 0.6-1.2 mm in diameter on BHI agar after 2 days
at 30 ºC. Facultative anaerobic. Grows at 20-37 ºC (optimally at 30 ºC), pH 6-9
(optimally at 7-8), 0-4% NaCl (optimally at 1%).
Isolated from the intestinal tract of an abalone, Haliotis discus hannai, Korea.
Undetermined.
