Description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive straight to slightly curved rods, some of which exhibit branching.
Colonies are tiny, irregular, convex, white and adherent to medium. It was cultured on
Columbia agar (Difco) supplemented with 5% horse blood at 37 ºC in air plus 5%
CO2. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated in mixed culture with Corynebacterium genitalium from the vagina of a cocker spaniel dog. Habitat is not known.

Positive results for beta-galactosidase, alpha-glucosidase, pyrazinamidase (weak reaction), acid production from: D-glucose,

Negative results for acid and alkaline phosphatase, arginine dihydrolase, catalase, chymotrypsin, cystine arylamidase, esculin
hydrolysis, esterase C4, ester lipase C8, alpha-fucosidase, alpha-galactosidase, beta-glucosidase, beta-glucuronidase, gelatin
hydrolysis, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, hippurate hydrolysis, leucine arylamidase, lipase C14, alpha-mannosidase, nitrate
reduction, pyrrolidonyl arylamidase, trypsin, urease, valine arylamidase, Voges-Proskauer test, acid production from: L-arabinose,
D-arabitol, cyclodextrin, methyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside, mannitol, melibiose, melezitose, raffinose, ribose, sorbitol, tagatose,
trehalose & D-xylose.
