Historical synonym: FAFLP group A51 Thompson, Hoste, Vandenberghe & Swings, 2001.
Gram-negative, slightly curved cells, 1 x 2-3 µm, motile by at least one polar flagellum.
Colonies on TSA are translucent, not swarming, convex, smooth, rounded, beige, 3
mm in diameter after 48 hours at 28 ºC incubation. Colonies on TCBS agar are yellow
and translucent  (except the type strain, LMG 20537T which are green).
Grow in nutrient broth with: 6% & 8% NaCl. No growth in 0% or 10% NaCl. Grow at 4 &
28 ºC . No growth at 35 ºC. Facultatively anaerobe. Non-luminescent.
Isolated from healthy bivalve larvae (Nodipecten nodosus) in Brazil, and from turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) in Spain.
Sensible to vibriostatic agent O/129  and resistant to Ampicillin.
Unknown.
