Acid-fast, curved rods. Not forming spores or filaments.
The optimal growth temperature is 37 ºC. On Middlebrook 7H10 agar medium,
smooth and  yellow or orange colonies are formed. No growth at 42  ºC.

Isolated from blood of Korean native cattle, Hanwoo (Bos taurus coreanae).

Positive results for acid and alkaline phosphatase, esterase (C4), esterase lipase
(C8), leucine arylamidase, valine arylamidase, cystine arylamidase, naphthol-AS-BI-
phosphohydrolase, beta-glucuronidase, alpha- and beta-glucosidase.
Weak reaction for beta-galactosidase.

Negative results for lipase (C14), trypsin, achymotrypsin, alpha-galactosidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, alpha-mannosidase
and alpha-fucosidase.
