Gram-positive rods, 0.4 x 1.0-1.5 µm. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are ivory white, convex, 0.5-1.8 mm in diameter after 3 days of incubation at
30 ºC on MRS  agar.
Grows at 4-37 ºC (optimum 30 ºC). Can grow in pH 3.5-8.0
(optimum pH 5.0-6.0).
Isolated from gut of a queen wasp (Vespula vulgaris), Korea. Sensitive to penicillin G, erythromycin, cefazolin, oleandomycin,
ceftazidime, tetracycline, novobiocin, carbamicillin and rifampicin, intermediately resistant to neomycin, and resistant to vancomycin.
Undetermined.
Homofermentative.
Description is based mostly on API 50 CH, API ZYM, and RAPID ID32A (bioMerieux) results.

Positive results for acid phosphatase, cystine arylamidase, esterase lipase (C8), alpha-glucosidase, leucine arylamidase, trypsin
(weak reaction), valine arylamidase, acid production from
esculin (weak reaction), D-fructose,  glucose (without gas production),
gluconate (without gas production), lactose, maltose, mannitol (weak reaction), and ribose.

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, alpha-arabinosidase, catalase, alpha-chymotrypsin, esterase (C4), alpha-fucosidase,
