Gram-positive rods, 0.7-0.8 x 1.7-2.7 µm. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are white, smooth, convex after 2days of incubation at 37 ºC on MRS agar.
Grows at 4-40 ºC (optimum 37 ºC), pH 3-9 (optimum pH 7.0), and NaCl 0-5%.
Isolated from Nuruk, a Korean traditional fermentation starter.
