Gram-positive rods, 0.6-0.8 x 1.5-2 µm, occurring singly or in pairs. Non-motile.
Colonies are beige, convex, smooth with entire margins, 1.5 mm in diameter after 3
days at 30 ºC on mMRS agar. No growth at 37 ºC. Grows at pH 5.0, but not at pH 11.0.
Grows weakly in 6% NaCl media. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from traditional pickle, China. Tellurite tolerant .
