Gram-positive short rods with square ends, 0.5 / 2.6 µm, occurring in chains.
Colonies are shiny, translucent, 0.5 mm in diameter after 2 days at 37 ºC on MRS
agar under 5% CO2. Grows at 25-45 ºC (optimum 37 ºC), pH 5-8 (optimum pH 6-7),
and NaCl 0-5%. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from human intestine.
