Gram-positive rods, 0.5-0.7 x 1.8-2.8 µm, occurring singly, in pairs or in short chains.
Colonies are beige, convex, olive shape, rough, 3 mm in diameter after 3 days at 30
ºC on mMRS agar. No growth at 37 or 45 ºC. Grows at pH 5.0; weak growth at pH
11.0. Grows in 6.5% NaCl. Facultative anaerobic.
Isolated from traditional pickle, China. Tellurite tolerant .
