Gram-negative rods 0.8-1.9 um. Motile by multiple flagella at 28 ºC. Non-spore-forming.
Grows on blood, tryptic soy, MacConkey and nutrient agar at 25-37 ºC and produces
1.0–1.5 mm colonies on blood agar at 28 ºC in 24 h. Colonies are circular and convex
with elevated centres.
Isolated from broiler meat cuts, packaged under a modified atmosphere.

reaction, lipase, acid production from amygdalin, cellobiose (weak), lactose (weak), mannitol, sucrose and trehalose.
Can utilize citrate, glycerol, glucose and trehalose.

Negative results for H
2S production, indole production, lysine decarboxylase, oxidase, urea hydrolysis, acid production from
L-arabinose, inositol, sorbitol, melibiose and rhamnose.
