Gram-negative rods.
Colonies are yellow. Maximum growth temperature: 40 ºC in Luria-Bertani broth.
Symbiotically associated with Steinernema sp. isolated from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent.

Positive results for citrate utilization, DNAse, esculin hydrolysis, lecithinase, acid
production from gluconate, 5-ketogluconate (weak), inositol, maltose, ribose, and  
trehalose.
Assimilates maltotriose, maltose, citrate, lactate, succinate, D-gluconate, D-malate, fructose,  inositol, ribose, propionate
(weak),
cis-aconitate, D-gluconate, L-aspartate, and D-alanine.

Negative results for acid production from
sorbitol.
No assimilation of putrescine, histidine, D-glucosamine and tyrosine.
