Gram-negative rods, 1 x 2 µm. Motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are yellowish, 2 mm in diameter after incubation on TSA at 28 ºC. Good
growth occurs after 48 h on NA, brain heart infusion agar, TSA, R2A agar and
MacConkey agar. Growth occurs on TSA at 10-37 ºC, but not at 39-40 ºC and above.
Isolated from Steinernema eapokense collected from soil samples from EaPok, Dak Lak province, Vietnam.

Positive results for citrate (Simmons), weak acid production from D-glucose, D-mannose, maltose and trehalose.
Can utilize as a sole source of carbon (weakly and after 7 days of incubation): acetate, N-acetylglucosamine, gluconate, D-glucose,
maltose, D-mannose, ribose, trehalose, fumarate, DL-lactate, pyruvate and L-histidine.

Negative results for arginine dihydrolase, catalase, H
2S production, indole production, lysine decarboxylase, ornithine decarboxylase
(weak), aesculin hydrolysis, beta-galactosidase (ONPG), production of brown diffusible pigments on tyrosine agar, alkalinization of
malonate, oxidase, urease, acid production from adonitol, D-arabitol, L-arabinose, cellobiose, dulcitol, erythritol, fructose, gluconate,
i-inositol, lactose, D-mannitol, melibiose, methyl alpha-D-glucoside, raffinose, L-rhamnose, ribose, salicin, sucrose D-sorbitol,
D-xylose.
No utilization of L-arabinose, L-arbutin, cellobiose, D-fructose, D-galactose, N-acetylgalactosamine, alpha-D-melibiose, L-rhamnose,
adonitol, maltitol, glycerol, D-mannitol, D-ribose, sucrose, salicin, D-xylose, i-inositol, D-sorbitol, cis-aconitate, trans-aconitate,
putrescine, propionate, adipate, 4-aminobutyrate, azelate, glutarate, DL-3-hydroxybutyrate, itaconate, mesaconate, 2-oxoglutarate,
suberate, citrate, L-alanine, L-serine, beta-alanine, L-aspartate, L-leucine, L-ornithine, L-phenylalanine, L-proline, L-tryptophan,
3-hydroxybenzoate, 4-hydroxybenzoate and phenylacetate.
