Phylum Bacteroidota, Class Gammaproteobacteria, Order Enterobacterales, Family Yersiniaceae, Genus Serratia, Serratia
ureilytica Bhadra et al. 2005.
Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative, straight rods, 0.7-1.0 x 0.8-1.0 μm. Motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are non-fluorescent and non-pigmented. Grows at 8-43 ºC over a pH range
of 5-11 in nutrient broth media, and can tolerate up to 1.4 M NaCl. Facultatively
anaerobic.
Isolated from water of the River Torsa in Hasimara, Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal, India.
Undetermined.
