Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-negative rods, 0.5-0.75 x 1.0-2.4 µm. Motile.
Colonies are white to cream, circular, smooth and convex. Growth occurs at 10-45 ºC
(optimum: 30 ºC) and pH 4–11 (optimum 7-8). NaCl tolerance is 0–4% (optimum
0%). Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from rice stems collected from Qiyang County of Hunan Province, PR China.
Undetermined.
