Homotypic synonym:
Rosenbergiella australoborealis Lenaerts et al. 2017.
Gram-negative rods. Motile by peritrichous flagella.
Colonies after 24 h of incubation at 25 ºC on TSA are pale beige pigmented, convex
and smooth with entire margins. Facultatively anaerobic. Growth occurs at 22-37 ºC;
does not grow at 4 or 42 ºC. Sucrose is tolerated at concentrations ranging from 10%
to 50%. Grows on MacConkey agar, Columbia blood agar and BHI agar. Not
haemolytic.
Isolated from floral nectar of different plant species (Protea roupelliae - Proteaceae) from Spain and South Africa.
Undetermined.
