Synonym: Enterobacter oligotrophica Akita et al. 2020.
Gram-negative rods. Motile. Non‐spore-forming.
Colonies grown on Nutrient Agar are circular, smooth, glistening, light yellow, and 5.0
mm in diameter after incubation overnight at 37 ºC. Growth can occur between 10 to
45 ºC, not at 4 or 50 ºC. It can tolerate up to 6% NaCl. Grows well at pH 4.5-10.0,
weaker at pH below 4.0 or above 10.5. Facultatively anaerobic. Growth is observed in
poor-nutrient medium, and growth is unaffected by high-nutrient medium.
Isolated from leaf soil collected in Japan. Resistant to ampicillin, but sensible to chloramphenicol and kanamycin.
Undetermined.
