Gram-negative rods. Motile.
Colonies are opaque, approximately 2-3 mm in diameter, irregular and raised with an
undulate margin. Growth can occur between 10 to 43 ºC. It can tolerate up to 10% NaCl
in Luria-Bertani broth. Optimal growth pH is pH 7.5. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from mung bean sprout, in Germany.

Positive results for arginine dihydrolase, catalase, citrate utilization, alpha- and beta-galactosidase, ornithine decarboxylase, acid
production from / utilization of L-arabinose, cellobiose, D-glucose, inositol, maltose, palatinose, rhamnose, sorbitol, sucrose, and
D-trehalose.
Negative results for indole production, lysine decarboxylase, oxidase, urease, acid production from D-arabitol.
