Rossi and Fisher 2020.
Gram-negative, pleomorphic rods, 0.4-0.8 x 0.9-2.4 μm. Motile at 22 ºC but immotile
at 35 ºC. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies produce a yellow pigment and may variably display three main
morphotypes: shiny medium sized (approx. 2mm, at 24h and the most frequent),
large mucoid (approx. 4mm, at 24h) and agar-pitting. Growth occurs readily at both
room temperature and 35 ºC in aerobic atmosphere on conventional media
such as SB, chocolate and MacConkey agar.
Isolated from the blood of a paediatric patient.
Undetermined.
