Gram-positive pleomorphic short rods, 1.0-1.6 x 0.6-0.8 µm. Non-spore-forming.
Non-motile. Tuberculostearic acid is absent. Mycolic acids are not present.
Colonies on TSA after 3 days of incubation under aerobic conditions at 30 ºC are
about 2 mm in diameter, white, white, with uneven edge and dry. On Columbia blood
agar colonies are about 4 mm in diameter, white, with uneven edge and dry.
Non-haemolytic. Can grow at 42 ºC, but not at 20 ºC.
Isolated from raw cow milk produced in Germany.
Undetermined.
