Gram-positive rods of various shapes, forming a branched structure with a ‘Y’ at the
end. Non-motile. Asporogenous.
Colonies are white, smooth, opaque, 1.0-2.5 mm in diameter after 2 days of anaerobic
incubation on TPY agar. Non-haemolytic. Optimum growth temperature 35 ºC; range
25-40 ºC. Variable growth at 20 or 44 ºC. Grows at pH 5.5-7.5. Survive under
microaerophilic conditions.
Isolated from faeces of common marmoset  (Callithrix jacchus).
