Gram-positive cells, 1.0 x 1.3 µm. Non-spore-forming. Non-motile.
Colonies are smooth, beige, 1.0 mm in diameter. Grows at temperature 33-44 ºC
(optimum 37 ºC), pH 5.0-7.0 (optimum 7.0). No growth at 15 ºC, 45 ºC or pH 4.5.
Anaerobic.
Isolated from faeces of healthy infant.
