Endo, Futagawa-Endo, Schumann, Pukall, Dicks, 2012.
Gram-positive irregular rods with rounded or tapered end, usually swollen and
branched, 0.6-1.2 / 3-8 µm, occurring singly, in pairs or in chains. Non-motile.
Colonies are white, smooth, 1-2 mm in diameter after 2 days of anaerobic incubation
on MRS agar supplemented with 50 mg/l L-cysteine. Optimum growth temperature
30-42 ºC. Weak growth at 26 ºC. No growth at 45 ºC. Grows at pH 5.0-8.0. Facultatively
anaerobic.
Isolated from faeces of common marmoset, South Africa.
Undetermined.
