Gram-positive irregularly shaped rods, 0.3-0.6 x 0.4-1.2 µm, with enlarged or tapered
ends, occurring singly or in short chains. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are cream in colour, sometimes irregularly circular with entire edges and
rigid cores and 2.0-3,9 mm in diameter after 2 days of incubation under anaerobic
conditions on TPY agar; some colonies have filamentous parts growing around the
solid core after 72 hours of incubation. The colonies reach 1.7-2.6 mm after 2 days of
incubation under microaerophilic conditions. Growth temperature 25-37 ºC,no growth
at 47 ºC. Grows at pH 5.0.
Isolated from the digestive tract contents of a bumblebee (Bombus lucorum), Czech Republic.
Undetermined.
