Gram-negative short rods, 1.2-2.1x 0.3-0.9 μm. Motile by means of three flagella. Non-
spore-forming
Colonies grown on R2A agar at 30 ºC for 5 days, are beige-coloured and circular and
have a diameter of about 2 mm. Grows on R2A agar at 25-37 ºC (optimum 30 ºC) and
at pH 6.5–7.5 (optimum 7.0). Can grow at 4 and 45 ºC. Facultatively anaerobic.
Isolated from brownish-black granules from an upflow anaerobic sludge blanket reactor used to treat brewery wastewater, Daejeon,
Republic of Korea.
Undetermined.
