Phylum Proteobacteria, Class Betaproteobacteria, Order Burkholderiales, Family Alcaligenaceae, Genus Candidimonas,
Candidimonas bauzanensis Zhang et al. 2012.
Gram-negative rods 0.7-0.9 x 1.2-1.9 µm. Motile by polar flagella.
Colonies on R2A agar after 3 and 5 days at 25 ºC, are creamy white, smooth, round
and convex with entire margins, 1-1.2 to 1.5 mm in diameter. Facultatively anaerobic.
Grows well at 1-30 ºC in R2A broth and on R2A agar, grows weakly at 37 ºC and does
not grow at 42 ºC. In liquid culture, growth is fastest at 25-30 ºC and cell density is
highest at 1-5 ºC. Grows at pH 6-8 and with 0-3 % (w/v) NaCl. Grows on NA and TSA.
Isolated from soil from an industrial site in Bozen, South Tyrol, Italy.
Undetermined
