Colonies are small, circular, entire, convex, moist, light yellow to grey and
nonhaemolytic. No growth is observed on MacConkey agar after 5 days. Facultative
anaerobe. Grows between 10 and 42 ºC.
Phylum Proteobacteria, Class Betaproteobacteria, Order Neisseriales, Family Neisseriaceae, Genus Neisseria, Neisseria wadsworthii
Wolfgang et al. 2011.
Gram-negative coccoid cells, 1.3-1.8 μm in diameter, grouped in pairs and chains.
Isolated from arm wound and peritoneal fluid.
