Aerobe. Can grow at 37 ºC, but not at 27 or 43 ºC. Grows at pH 8.0 and at 1.5% NaCl.

Gram-negative cell wall. Grouped in multicellular ﬁlaments. The long axis of the cells
(width of ﬁlament) varies from 2.5 to 7.1 μm, with an average of about 3.1-3.8 μm; the
short axis (length of individual cell) varies from 0.7 to 1.3 μm, with an average of about
1.1 μm. Gliding motility.
Isolated from the oral cavity of dogs.
