30 ºC; aerobe and facultative anaerobic, temperature limits of growth 0 to 45 ºC, acid
produced from some carbohydrates (no gas from glucose), catalase positive, oxidase
negative, methyl-red positive, Voges-Proskauer positive, indole is not produced, H
2S
negative, urea is not hydrolysed, organic growth factors are required.
