Gram-negative, slender and slightly curved rods, 0.5 x 1.8 μm. Nonsporulating. Motile
by single sheathed flagella located subterminally at each end.
Cultures grown on solid agar media (TSA with 5% sheep blood) appear as a
spreading layer. No aerobic or anaerobic growth. Microaerobic growth occurs at 37
and 42 ºC. Grow in 1% glycine.
Isolated from the feces of Canada geese. Sensitive to nalidixic acid. Resistant to cephalothin.

Negative results for alkaline phosphatase, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase & nitrate
reduction.
