Colonies on R2A are circular, convex and milky white. Growth occurs at  5-40 ºC,
optimally at 30 ºC. Can grow in pH 4.0 and 9.0, optimally in pH 4.0. Can grow in 0-1%
(w/v) NaCl. Facultatively anaerobic. Grows on LB medium and TSA.
