Growth temperature 3-36 ºC, 27-30 ºC optimum. Can grow at pH 6.0-8.5.
Yellow-green fluorescent pigments not produced. No brown pigments produced in
media with 0.1% tyrosine or 0.1% tryptophan. No growth on EMB agar, MacConkey
agar, TSI and Sellers agar. No alkaline reaction in litmus milk.

p-hydroxybenzoate, ethanol, n-propanol, n-butanol, glycerol, D-fructose, D-glucose, D-xylose, L-arabinose, tyrosine, L-phenylalanine,
L-alanine, L-glutamate, L-glutamine, asparagine, L-proline, L-hydroxyproline, L-ornithine, L-citrulline, L-arginine, L-lysine, putrescine,
L-methionine, L-serine, L-cysteine, L-leucine, L-isoleucine & L-valine.
