Gram-negative coccobacilli, 0.3-0.5 x 0.85-1.3 μm, occuring singly or in pairs. Non-
m
otile.
Colonies on nutrient agar are flat or slightly convex with smooth margins with a colour
ranging from white to light brown
and have a swarming appearance. Growth occurs
at  28 and 42 ºC. Grows in 0 to 4.5% NaCl concentration.
Isolated from a neck abscess of a 54-year old male in Belgium, and from leg wounds.
