Species description is based on a single isolate.
Gram-positive straight rods. Non-motile. Non-spore-forming.
Colonies are pinpoint after 24 h incubation at 37 ºC in anaerobic environment on
sheep blood agar.
Non-haemolytic. Strictly anaerobic.
Isolated from pus.
Isolated from the pus of a patient with pelvic actinomycosis.
